After the conclusion that Gluten-free Albania made in the food market of some of the brands of local producers, where the products labeled "gluten free" resulted "with gluten", AKU responded as follows:

Hello dear,

Referring to the denunciation on the products labeled or advertised as "gluten free", of the company "Teuta", specifically the product Granola with almonds, Granola hazelnut and Muesli with Chia seeds, the Regional Directorate AKU Durrës informs us that:

From the verification in the above mentioned subject it was concluded that it does not have physical condition for the above 3 products.

From the verification of traceability for the above products, for which this problem has been ascertained by the Gluten-free Albania project, immediately after receiving the communication and contacts, the company "Teuta" took measures and immediately started the procedure of notifying consumers and entities in which were supplied with these products, from the verification of the returned quantities it resulted that:

1. Almond granules which is labeled in the technological card as Almond granules and honey is returned the amount of 63 packages of 350 grams each;
2. Hazelnut granules which are named in technological card like Granola with hazelnuts and honey is returned the amount of 463 packages of 350 grams each;
3. Muesli with Chia seeds which is named in the technological card as Muesli with dried fruits and chia seeds is returned the quantity of 135 packets of 350 grams each.

From the verification of the technological card, these products have been re-labeled according to the legislation in force and the technological card respectively:

1. Granola with almonds and honey (in the amount of 63 packages of 350 grams each with expiration date 30/06/2023);
2. Granola with hazelnuts and honey (in the amount of 463 pieces from 350 grams each with expiration date 30/06/2023);
3. Muesli with Chia seeds which is named on the technological card as Muesli with dried fruits and chia seeds is returned quantity 135 packets of 350 grams each .
4. Muesli with dried fruits and chia seeds (in the amount of 135 packages of 350 grams each with expiration date 30/06/2023).

The above products (re-labeled) have been transferred to the subject warehouse. In the subject warehouse the above mentioned products are in accordance with the labeling in Albanian language (they are notified labels).
