TREATING CELIAC
Living with Celiac Disease
The only treatment is a strict, lifelong gluten‑free diet. Even tiny traces can damage the intestine.
Work with a registered dietitian to design a balanced diet and avoid nutritional deficiencies.
Regular Monitoring After Diagnosis
Your doctor may track recovery through blood tests, vitamin and mineral profiles (B12, D, Folate, Iron, Zinc), and bone density scans.
If You Accidentally Eat Gluten
Hydrate (water or ginger tea), rest, eat light foods, avoid dairy for a few days, and resume gentle activity once recovered.
